Completes acquisition of Gerald J. Sullivan & Associates and most units of The Sullivan Group: Sullivan Brokers, Gerald J. Sullivan & Associates of Oregon, G.J. Sullivan Co. Excess & Surplus Lines Brokers, and Kevin Davis Insurance Services. The latter two will retain the Sullivan and Davis name brands, respectively. Jerry Sullivan will work as consultant and director for Worldwide Facilities. Hank Haldeman, Sullivan Group president, joins Worldwide Facilities as senior EVP and will lead Sullivan programs divisions while adding corporate duties at Worldwide Facilities. Kevin Davis joins as EVP and will lead his eponymous division.


Senior appointments made in Corporate Risk and Broking: Jim O’Connor named head of specialties broking in North America, a newly created role added to his current duties as head of middle-market broking; Jon Drummond moves to head of casualty broking in North America; Amelia Valz hired as head of North American construction professional liability broking—she joins from XL Catlin, where she was underwriting director for construction performance risk.


Opens Texas branch in Dallas. Assistant VP for property and casualty Chris Barnes heads new office. He most recently was SVP of brokerage at wholesaler LevelFirst.

Chris Lay named CEO of U.K. and Ireland, reporting to Flavio Piccolomini, president of Marsh International. Lay, a 30-year Marsh veteran, also awaiting regulatory approval at press time to take on CEO role for Marsh Ltd. He was president and CEO of Marsh Canada. Sarah Robson takes Lay’s post as president and CEO of Marsh Canada. She was managing director in Marsh’s U.S. business and global relationship manager in Marsh’s insurer consulting group. Lay succeeds Mark Weil, who is moving to private equity sector. >> Hires Christos Adamantiadis as CEO of Middle East and Africa regions, which were recently merged under single leader. He moves from Oman Insurance Company, where he was CEO.


Names Said Taiym EVP and chief digital officer, reporting to Ron Lockton. Taiym moves from workers compensation organization AF Group, where he was SVP and chief information officer.


Hires Dan Zentgraf as director of analytics in Phoenix office to spearhead development of biometric-data analytics program. Zentgraf was assistant VP and financial manager at Aon.


Promotes John Fletcher to chairman of Bermuda operations, Was head of property retrocessional practice in Bermuda. >> James Morris hired as SVP and actuarial analyst for global property specialty team. He moves from Aon Bermuda, where he was senior technical reinsurance analyst for global re specialty.


Names Thom Smith as EVP. He was president of Sullivan Brokers, which was bought from Jerry Sullivan by Worldwide Facilities. Smith has experience with alternative risk transfer for commercial enterprises with legacy liabilities.
